President Donald Trump was uninjured as he, the First Lady, and senior U.S. leaders were evacuated from the annual dinner of White House correspondents on Saturday night following a security incident. Authorities said the incident occurred outside the ballroom where Trump and other guests were seated. One law enforcement official said a shooter had opened fire. A law enforcement officer was shot in the bullet-resistant vest but was expected to be OK, one law-enforcement officer told The Associated Press. The FBI said the shooter was in custody and that its Washington field office was responding to the shooting.
