The political standoff between the Opposition and the Election Commission is intensifying. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge is hosting a second consecutive lunch meeting of INDIA bloc MPs in Delhi, with leaders discussing their next course of action against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The meeting follows protests near Jantar Mantar where Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other Opposition MPs were detained. The Opposition has said its campaign will continue until Gyanesh Kumar resigns.
