The FIR in the alleged murder of Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh reveals that he had allegedly been threatened by the same men earlier. According to the FIR, Singh had objected to a group creating noise outside his South Delhi home, after which they allegedly abused and threatened him. On September 7, the accused allegedly entered the building, chased Singh up three floors and assaulted him. He later died during treatment at Holy Family Hospital. Eight accused have been arrested, while CCTV footage reportedly shows the alleged attackers leaving the building.
