Rahul Gandhi was widely expected to offer his resignation as its top leaders met for a post-mortem of its national election debacle which, many say, exposes an existential crisis for the grand old party. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala told reporters mid-way through the meeting that reports that his party chief had quit were not true.
