In dramatic events at the Allahabad High Court today, Ajitesh Kumar, whose marriage to Sakshi Misra, the daughter of a BJP lawmaker in Uttar Pradesh, prompted the couple to claim they feared for their lives, was repeatedly slapped by unknown persons. The attack on Mr Kumar occurred while the couple was about to enter the courtroom and still under police protection, after having travelled from Noida where they were being kept in protective custody.
